And those videos are often instrumental in telling the true story. If they hadn't gotten this on video no one would know what happened to George Floyd. I don't fault people for filming instead of helping when there is a realistic possibility of them getting hurt too. These videos absolutely serve a purpose

to be clear, i'm not only talking about videos involving the cops. i'm talking in general, like fight videos/accidents/thefts/crap like that. i just find it disheartening that instead of doing something about a situation you see many people just pull out their phone and record what happens.

I don't. I know I personally am not going to jump in the middle of a fight or chase a burglar down, but if I can get it on video then that becomes crucial evidence

State court records show that from 2001 to 2018, he also racked up more than a dozen criminal charges and traffic citations. They show that he was convicted of seven total charges

In Lane's application to be a police cadet, sections that included his criminal and traffic history, as well as whether he had been fired from any jobs, were redacted.

So this dude dropped out of high school, can't hold down a job, and doesn't follow laws. But he's perfectly fit to be a cop...
