It's 6.41am, I just got back home after partying at a buddy's house. I'm wide awake because of drugs.

I decided to start spring cleaning my house for no reason and i got digging into paperwork and i came across the handwritten notes that my father sent tomy mother as he was dying from cancer.

I was 4 at the time and I'm now 29. The letters mostly consist of him saying how much he loves my Mum, how much he regrets not seeing me grow up and instructions on how to finish remodeling the kitchen and bathroom that he was unable to complete.

It's real sad boi hours now and I'm probably just posting this for attention, but I'm all fucked up so post pics of dogs or something, pls.

Were here for you if you need us TC. I get easily depressed/ nostalgic when I look through old pictures, letters, yearbooks, you name it. So I kind of understand how the specific letter you found would have made you feel a certain way. Thats movie kind of stuff. Life imitating art.

I don't remember him much at all. I only ever had a couple photos of him, growing up.

My Ma moved on pretty quick and i grew up with a step father who was super abusive to us all. That's a whole other thing.

As a result, i knew from a young age that i couldn't ever really talk or ask questions about my Dad because I 'had a new Dad now'. And i knew it would upset my Mum.

Folded into the notes, which are quite poorly written tbh, was the paper wristband he had when he was in hospital. :(
