ok so I have an AC unit inside my room (it connects via a tube to the window)

I like it because it sounds like a semi-loud fan running, which blocks out noise from outside (dogs barking, ppl playing music at fucking 2am)

But I feel like Im slowly losing my mind
like I think I hear people whispering and when I turn the fan on its dead silent

im getting scared :( for my own mental sanity

It's the gnomes in your fan taking a coffee break and talking about sports and the weather. When you turn it on they have to get back to work. Fun fact; all electronic devices are powered by gnomes on treadmills.

I used to hear music like olde time music when the fan was on. It's sort of a hallucination though. I think I read up on it before being phantom sounds or musical ear syndrome. Can read up more on it by Googling, "hearing music while fan is on"
