Teaming with the covenant in 2 was absolutely amazing, and while I do love halo CE missions (truth and reconciliation, the flood, the maw) its still more fun to play through halo 2.

3 is also very good to a point where its hard to compare, the graphics are way ahead of its time

4 and 5 are garbage as far as Im concerned. I beat 4 in 4 hours on legendary and hated every minute

I don't remember hating 4, but it just wasn't the same without the Flood tbh. I haven't played 5 though.

I suck at RTS so I played both Wars titles but didn't beat other.

Halo Wars is so easy though. I couldn't even beat the first mission in Command and Conquer: Kane's Wrath lol. I was still trying to learn the controls when an army fucked up my base 15 minutes in.

I actually just finished ODST for the first time. It was okay but just felt kinda pointless.

Yeah idk what it is, I was able to beat Red Alert 2, Age of Mythology and Warcraft 2 but i'm complete ass at Starcraft.

I enjoy the genre but I tend to get side tracked and lose control

Well Wars is bad anyway. Missions literally tell you what structures and units to build and typically the maps are linear in design.

It's the perfect closed circle. Very first thing John does is wake up from cryo sleep. Very last thing John does is go into cryo sleep. Lotta people are suckers for those.

honestly I like reach just as much, campaign and multiplayer, but I know a lot of fans didnt. Its hard succeed the original trilogy

Too bad what happened when he woke up though...

But as an aside *Halo 4 and 5 spoilers* I heard they totally dropped the Didact as a villain in 5 and killed him in a comic. Wtf? Why build him up if you didn't plan on doing anything with him?

That explains why he wasn't in 5. With Cortana's rampancy I thought for sure one would recruit the other and with 5's advertising, that would be the reason the Chief went rogue. Damn they dropped the ball on everything.

Basically Master Chief finds him and jobs him with his Spartan buddies in a side story. For whatever reason. He's technically in a "digital" state in case they every feel like bringing him back smh.

Unironically Reach. I feel it captured the hopelessness of the Human-Covenant War fantastically. No matter what you did, Reach was going to fall, just like every planet before it.

I really dug Reach.

Mostly for the jetpack, I'm a sucker for a jetpack.

The Didact was killed in 4, they just brought him back in a side story, no reason to put him back in 5. They could have made the Cortana story work, it was just executed horribly.

They have built a lot of good lore in the books around ONI and how they are a pretty terrible shadow organization, they should have brought that into Halo 5 to make it a lot closer to what the ads for Halo 5 advertised.

There should have been a main conflict between ONI/Locke and Chief/Arbiter racing to get control of the guardians with Cortana working in the background to manipulate all the events so they end up destroying each other and she gets them at the end, and we are at the same ending as Halo 5. However the post credits scene should have shown that Cortana didn't just go rampant, she was taken over by the Logic Plague, and was working with a Gravemind the entire time (following a similar arc as Mendicant Bias).

Infinite is a spiritual reboot set on a new Halo ring a couple years after 5

343 is really going for the nostalgic classic feel with this game so I'd say it's a guarantee the Flood returns.

I was with you until here. She honestly should've started going rampant in 3 since she was 7 by then. I like the idea of her rampancy being this bad because of how long it took AND all the information she has.

1,2 and ODST. Halo 2 feels like the pinnacle but halo CE put the foundation down. I do enjoy the other campaigns. 4 is okay, feels like halo still but with a mediocre story and blandish enemies., Weapons were alright. Halo 5 is just a bad game.

As much as I love being a Spartan, the feeling ODST gave me just exploring the openish world was so good.
