honestly tho, it's not as bad as i was expecting but it can become boring but specially frustrating as hell. specially when you're not equipped properly for a mission.

it's like Kojima tried to grab something as mundane as walking and tried to make interesting gameplay mechanics out of it

kinda reminds me of MGS4: lots of cutscenes but the gameplay isn't as interesting... lol

Yeah, a lot of people have said this about that game. Hopefully their thoughts didn't impress too heavily upon you.

I really enjoyed the locomotion in this game. Path finding was fun and I'd say unlike other open world games, you actually have to be "conscious" when you travel (unlike say Skyrim or a GTA-like, where you shut your brain off until an encounter/scene or just fast travel to get where you're going).

Hopefully you are playing on hard, the game is too easy even on hard.

Yeah it can be tricky if you are unprepared for a trek. But thats where the drama comes from. Itll be that more rewarding where you get to where youre going.

I mean, planning your load out is a huge part of the gameplay. Its essentially where the strategy game aspect of the game is. Youll get better at it, and the game is consistently good about continuously giving you more and better options.

I think a lot lot of people were disappointed because it doesnt open up options quickly enough, and the action of the game isnt typical. I love it, as do a lot of others, but Im sure everyone who loves it has issues that they think could have been better. It really has its moments though. I find it to be more relaxing and meditative than anything else.

once you get the motorcycle the game picks up the pace way faster i personally liked the meditative moments

All you need is the Bola Gun and BT Gun. You rarely need more weapons then that.
