I second the "Fuck IPAs" motion. They are bitter as hell. Even the fruitier ones that are supposed to not be as bitter are still bitter. There are very very few that I actually like, but when you pay eight bucks for a beer you pretty much have to choke it down no matter how long it takes.

looks like they have no plans to bring it back in 2020

doesnt meant theyll never brew it again, theyve retired it for a few years before

Go to a mix and match store, you might have a locally owned one if you search Yelp or trip adviser etc. Otherwise total wine and more type places work

Grab a build your own sixer thingy

Snag 6 beers of different styles

- IPA/APA
- porter/stout
- Red/amber ale
- Wheat/hefe (typically easy for people not familiar with craft beers)
- Sour
- brown ale

Avoid blondes or lagers, they'll only taste slightly better than the piss youre used to

Oh as for IPA's I don't get the obsession. The sheer number of the in rediculous.
And I have had Sip of Sunshine, I can't believe drove deep into Vermont for a 4 pack.
It was almost more of statute symbol.

~Anyway, a lot of IPAs smell and taste like Cat piss. And believe me, I've drank a lot of Cat piss!!

i think the ipa resentment is just pushback from bitter stout nerds like myself. 'ipas are for college kids', we'd say. 'be nice if they'd carry a few stouts instead of 40 ipas', we'd say. we lost our chance in the sun to some stupid beer you could actually see through.

I asked it is just seasonal. So not necessarily discontinued.
And because it aged, there is probably more in the works.

Get someone to chop you up in a million pieces and throw you in a vat of beer. On a serious side though, experiment. Go to your local liquor store and if they sell singles buy a few singles for you to try out. Eventually you'll find what flavors really please your palette.

After trying multiple beers, I've since realized its not for me. That said, I can take a shot of Sambuca like its nothing. I've found I'm not a fan of things with hops and barley, but stuff with strong tastes like Whiskey Sours, Sour Puss, Sambuca, and the multitude of tropical drinks are more in my wheel house.

I'm sure there are beers out there that I would find enjoyable, but I'm more addicted to sodas than alcohol. Always have been. I might buy a 4 pack of Mikes once a year, and that will last me a month.

Anyone ever tried Supernaut?
