On sale for $20 but I wonder if its too shallow and repetitive to be enjoyable. It did grab my attention when I first heard about it though.

I picked it up a week or two ago, it is interesting enough. Some parts are certainly repetitive but it gets more complex as you advance. I'm not the biggest fan of the control scheme, and how obtuse some of the systems can be, but it isn't completely unmanageable. $20 is a decent deal, and if you play through at least one run you should get your money's worth.

Thanks for your thoughts the bolded part in particular is encouraging. The control scheme is definitely one of my concerns.

Can I ask how punishing the survival system is? I dont mind survival games but I hate being forced to constantly rush around gathering food, water, etc. just to avoid death, not getting to enjoy the scenery.

that game should be made the official prequel to Assassins Creed based on what I know of it. it's made by the same company I think. would be kinda cool if the game ends with getting a hint or glimpse about that species that predated humans and seeing Adam and Eve or something.

I dont think its the same company, just one of the original creators of AC is behind it. That does sound cool though.
