I like how the right continuously brings up Floyd's past convictions, but are fucking DEAD SILENT on Chauvin's multiple reports of being a piece of shit before this happened.

It's like they want Chauvin to look better while they want to make Floyd look like a monster and that he deserved what happened to him.

No, although Floyd had a past it doesn't excuse the officer. He deserves to be in jail but he won't be there long as if people get first degree charges for sure, the cops didn't go into the situation looking to kill somebody, they got called out for it.

If people succeed in getting first degree, he's getting acquitted, calling that. Hell even second degree is pushing it.

I mean if you are continuously putting your weight on a guys neck for 9ish minutes, I'm gonna argue there was some intent behind it.

Chauvin 100% felt Floyd's body fighting for air and felt it go limp and the guy stayed on his neck for minutes AFTER this happened. You can't argue that there wasn't some sort of intent behind his actions.

Again, just because Floyd had a history doesn't mean shit. It's worthless to bring up and it's only done in bad faith by bad faith actors that don't even care about Floyd and only want people to stop protesting because it upsets them and disrupts their life.

I feel like she would have a solid point here if the Officers had tried to save Floyd once he didn't have a pulse. Like then maybe you could say, "it wasn't entirely the Officers fault. The drugs and stress of the situation were too much for his weakened health condition." But when you keep kneeling on someone's neck three minutes after their heart stops, it's kind of hard to blame that on the drugs.
