SevenTenths 06/04/20 11:35:45 AM #18:	he's not apologizing for what he said (that would be saying he supports NFL players if they choose to protest police brutality by kneeling during the anthem as he understands that they are not in any way shape or form disrespecting the flag, rather they are exercising their american right to peacefully protest which is exactly what the flag is meant to embody). He apologized for the way people interrupted his comments. Anyone who wants to change what a protest is about to avoid discussing what the protest is about has no grounds of defense right now. Still claiming that these protest are disrespecting the flag or troops is being nothing but trying to find a more politically correct way of saying you do not support their protest against police brutality. We are past the point where people can continue to be neutral or feign it. It is not okay to continue to stand to the side and ignore the issue because you're white and feel you aren't impacted by it. Police reform needs to happen and that includes the legal protections that police unions have built up that get used to protect these terrible cops when they commit acts of violence against innocent people, made worse when these acts of violence disproportionately happen to minorities. --- If you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all.
