It doesn't even mean that you can say what you want, it just means the federal government can't regulate what you say.

Private entities are free to restrict, limit or place rules around how you can exercise your speech within their properties.

Yes, but punishment should also fit the crime. Someone should be fired for saying something unabashedly racist on Twitter while representing their company, but we also shouldnt be doing this using peer pressure to get someone fired for one wrong thing they said as a teen 15 years ago shit without some proper context.

No but we used to reflect the philosophy of the constitution in our personal lives.

It's why people used to say" I disagree with you, but I'd defend your right to say it."

Now it's been hijacked by some weird social religious puritanism except without the absolution of sin.

This. It's pretty dumb when pseudo activist do that to people who clearly changed. Their is a DJ that defended a gay couple victim of harassment and pseudo activists were like "B-B-B-UT YOU SAID SOMETHING HOMOPHOBIC 10 YEARS AGO, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE YOUR SHOW" people can evolve and grow and honestly I think a lot of people who celebrate when this happens are not the saint they pretend to be. A girl I know said the guy should not have his show because of that. But I easily founded transphobic jokes she makes 12 years ago on facebook and I know the 2020 version of this girl is not transphobic at all.
