I have a feeling that you americans have it easy when it comes to buying cars. Because V8 engine cars here cost at least 45,000 upwards. Like the Audi RS4 is 60,000. BMW M3 is 55,000 upwards.

The GT Mustang in America is $35,000. And in connverted currency, it should be 28,000. But we have to pay 45,000 upwards.

You really have to be an expert or specialist in your career to make that much amount of money a year. And then we have the 40% income tax when you make around that region.

Seems to me even a truck driver in america can afford and V8 muscle car. Or am i wrong?

Pretty easy to afford a $35,000 car in America w/ financing, or just lease it.

Wages in the US are far higher than in the UK, and basically the world.

Median household disposable income is above $35,000 in pretty much every state.

Unless you know someone, have an education (which we are lacking in unfortunately), or get lucky? Pretty low. Thats why a lot of people live in supplemental housing, Apartments, or get houses and live with others to reduce rent.

Edit: This is taking debt into account to; As far as I can tell a lot of people are in debt and would reflect as a negative towards net gain.

Like, from your job gross? In my industry that would be lower than absolute minimum starting pay. But I believe thats a good bit higher than federal minimum wage, which is dogshit.

the average car loan in the US is 5 years. longer ones are getting more common. not reocmmending it, but a lot of people can *technically* get a decent to nice care on those terms.

To be more specific, the average US household has about $16,000 more in disposable income than the average British household.

People don't realize how much richer the US is compared to Europe.

To even get a 30,000 Mercedes E-Class, over 48 months with 5000 deposit, its gonna be 574 a month. Thats really steep especially with all the other bills to pay.
