One thing it's been used for ever since before it blew up was buying drugs off the dark web. I used it for this purpose in 2011 when BTC was $13 per coin

It is, but it's original purpose was use as an untraceable form of currency, and it's still used for that, which is why it's incredibly easy to buy drugs off the internet and get them shipped straight to your door.
