Always enjoyed the Civil War ones. Shelby Foote was a bit too romantic about the CSA otherwise its a great collection of personal diaries and thoughts of the time.

Honestly I prefer anything by BBC.
Also check out World War II in color, that's great. I feel berns tries to be depressing because he feels it makes it more moving and dramatic.
