Do you think these people are jackasses for what they did?

32 y/o Indiana Youtube Influencer, Myka Stauffer is facing criticism after she GAVE UP her 4 y/o adopted autistic son named "Huxley" from CHINA as she and her husband James posted a "tearful" video to say "there were a lot more to special needs that we were not aware of". Huxley has been a part of their youtube channel for years as the family detailed their joy of having a new son their in their lives...until now.

They have 4 biological children who added "Do i feel like a failure as a mom? Like 500 percent"

They have 717,000 subs on Youtube and have big sponsor partner such as Big Lots, TJ Maxx and Danimals yogurt

They cited medical privacy concerns for not explaining in detail why they gave up Huxley up and stated it was because he had autism and brain trauma..

But people on twitter blasted the couple and accused them of adopting Huxley as a STUNT to gain viewers where one wrote "She adopted a child for views and then got rid of him and treated him like a brand deal"

Another said "I never watched that Myka Stauffer youtube mom, but i am RAGING over the fact that they rehomed their adopted special needs son to another family"

Another wrote "You adopted him solely for the attention it would give you and now you're giving him away, unbelievable"

But Myka said it wasn't her fault when she made the difficult decision and claim it was for Huxley's OWN BENEFIT!!

She wrote "I didn't adopt a little boy to share these things publicly..95% of the struggles we have never publicly aired. Numerous medical professionals have felt that he needed a different fit, he needed more and Huxley is now with his 'forever family'. He's thriving, he's doing well and his new mommy has medical, professional training"

Huxley has been front and centre of their youtube videos since he was brought into the youtube family for THREE YEARS..

Sounds like they did what was best for him, and what was most likely a very difficult choice.

I can't talk at all about Special needs but if they don't think they can do it, I guess giving their child to someone that can is probably better. Some people may not have the mindset and could hurt the child even more

I know NOBODY is ready for that but at least they could self ID they definitely can't

then again I didn't read the article so I dunno if they're being asses about it or not

They made money off of the kid on Youtube for years and then shipped him off when they actually had to be parents. She even made the adoption an online spectacle and took in money from viewers for it and to pay for "needs" for the kid. It's kinda sickening. They even made videos about "Oh gee we don't know if we want a kid with special needs it'll be so hard but you know what we're gonna do it since we're such great people."

Apparently she's shopping around for another disabled child she can exploit for videos for a few years so you might want to delete any sympathy you have for her.

This really paints a picture of what the kid actually was to her. Nothing more than $$$.
