Essentially your primitive senses become heightened. For example, what your perception is about the act (masturbating, sex) largely determines how you feel afterwards. Interestingly, with regards to sex, WHO you have sex with is important with emotions post-nut. If you have sex with someone you perceive as "hot" or "loving" or "intimate", then your baseline Dopamine/Oxytocin levels will be higher and you don't feel that post-nut disgust. If you have sex with someone who you normally would consider "unattractive" or someone who you have "no connection" with, your baseline Dopamine/Oxytocin levels will be lower, which will contribute to feeling disgust after sex.
