I was wondering about this because Qui-Gon is essentially the only Jedi who always fully supported and believed in Anakin. The prequels don't really give us any insight into Anakin's reaction to Qui-Gon's death other than the ending of TPM, at the funeral of Qui-Gon, when Anakin somberly asks Obi-Wan "what's gonna happen to me now?"

When Anakin turned to the Dark Side, did all his positive memories (including of Qui-Gon) just disappear? Did he still remember Qui-Gon as Darth Vader? And if so, did he actually think of him fondly? And especially after Vader was redeemed at the end of ROTJ, did he think of Qui-Gon's insistence that Anakin was the Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force?

I find this very interesting.

Ask the Star Wars board they will give you a way better answer than here.

Not to my knowledge. By the time Episode 1 came out, the EU was already at 25ABY(For reference, Endor was 4ABY), and by the time Episode 3 came out, they were up to 36-40 ABY, and just about to start the Vong War.

This led to two main problems with writing anywhere between Episode 1 and Episode 4. The first being that any books written around then had the potential to be retconned quickly and tossed out of the timeline, and the second was that everyone wanted to get in on that sweet, sweet Vong action(followed by Legacy). The result is that not a lot of books(relatively) were made for that time period, and the ones that were mostly dealt with side characters, clones, OC Jedi, and other things that were unlikely to get retconned.

Homosexuality is not; pedophilia is a different story.

Basically nil for Vader, but Anakin and Obi-Wan would hear the voice of his force ghost and Anakin recognized that Qui-Gon chose him when he was forced on the other Jedi. He also feels a pressure to prove to the other Jedi that Qui-Gon was right.

By the time of Vader, Palpatine had pretty much filled the father role, even though it was an abusive relationship. I would imagine that Vader had decided to reject Qui-Gon along with everything Jedi at that point.

Wrong. He gained the ability to do it when he accepted the love of his son. Qui-Gon taught Yoda and Obi-Wan.

Doesn't Obi-Wan teach Anakin in the novelization? Obi-Wan reaches out as Anakin passes.
