I love the development of the characters these past 10 years. The fact that I can still laugh at an episode even after 11 seasons really speaks to the quality of the acting by everyone. Hell the fact that I don't even mind the kid characters like joe and lily shows how great this show is.

There's quite a few retreading of plot lines that I got sick of but the comedy itself was always pretty solid. The final season in particular also had a lot of touching moments done very well. Fred Willard final episode was phenomenal.

Modern Family was great until Luke and Manny hit puberty and then it become average.

Yeah that's kind of weird, they (it was originally a set of twins doing it Olsen style) were only in the first couple of seasons up until the character was like 3 years old...

at least internationally/in the UK. not sure about US.

Bro, she was 4 when she joined the show, cut her some slack. We barely knew we were alive at 4 and she was on the biggest sitcom on TV. And the random babies they used before her didn't have ANY lines. Like what are you even saying here?

Well the producers didn't have to turn her into a Michelle Tanner 2.0. Keep the toddler. Not everybody has to be silly character.

Luke's and Manny's actors were just bad and never improved in 10+ years.

Yeah there's something for everyone. There was a recent joke about Gloria being a part time therapist or something and Mitch is like how many jobs have you had. Nice to see so many running gags still get a chuckle out of me purely on how the actors deliver their lines.

Just watched the finale. It was sweet.

This has always been the kind of show where I would have probably watched more seasons and episodes if they made them. It's just a comfortable show to watch.
