I'm more annoyed at how Disney has completely over done everything with Leia since Carrie Fisher passed tbqh. It wasn't needed she was already a strong, good female character.

What gets me is that the little vignettes they put out are so wildly different from the movies. Vader crumples an entire door with the force, the Emperor uses lightning against the Jedi who come to arrest him, etc.
I literally thought the whole point was to show that Star Wars is more than what we see on the screen and that's why the way the Force is shown varies between trilogies and such

I mock anyone who takes Star Wars too seriously.

I can still recognize how they constantly have to try and prop Leia up more than she needs to be. So in this instance I don't view this as some feminist agenda push, it's just more of Disney's pathetic attempts to try and boost a character who happens to be female. I will still mock the hyperbole and over drama of the image though.

Edit: And it turns out that I may be wrong and they do this with *every* character in these shorts, so it's just a style thing. And if that's true than *shrug* I still think they really prop up Leia more than they need to but guess I'm wrong in this case.

I'd be down for an animated reimagining of the OT as long as isn't that Cal Arts shit or the cheap 3D art from the Clone Wars and Rebels series.
If we have to hand it all over to Japan to get the job done while adding weaboo expressions so be it, least they won't fuck it up like Disney.

For some reason, this reminds me of this kid at college who was having people sign petitions to have the indie music channels on the cafeteria TVs removed. I asked him what they should replace it with, and he said "j-pop, because the idols are more wholesome", implying the female artists weren't up to some standard he made.

It was a little bit "I don't like thing", and a little bit misogynistic.

Like, I'm not fan of what Disney is doing with Star Wars. But shit like this, even if it was being done in the way they think, is like worth an eye roll at most. Nobody should be taking the time of making all these images and videos and such.

Like what happened to our generation that makes them so damn dependent on their dumb entertainment? So Star Wars is ruined for you? Why not just...find something else to enjoy? Wouldn't this be a better use of time?

I'd agree it's kind of dumb when they purposely shift around dynamics like that, but that is completely innocuous given that it's a one minute short on a minor Youtube channel with comparatively little views.
