The extent of my cooking abilities is frying hamburger meat for tacos/burritos and hamburger helper(and frying(?) the noodles).

I wouldn't really trust myself to do anything much more complicated. I get distracted too easily

For having no training aside from vaguely following online recipes and tutorials from youtube, kinda. People generally enjoy my food.

I have been wanting to step things up recently though. I understand basics and have a pretty good grasp on things like Maillard reaction, stocks and flavor bases (mirepoix, sofrito, etc), and seasoning but I don't really know how to pair flavors or devise my own recipes. I mean, I do it and I eat it but I don't know that I'm making the best dishes I can. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time finding plant-based resources that don't involve alcohol.
