High Yield Savings Account

I'm thinking of taking the extra $360 and seeing if I can get Amazon to automatically subscribe me up to buying 10 $5 purchases of amazon credit a month in the allowance thing...I mean that means my emergency fund (~30k: 15k HYSA, 2k HSA, 5k savings, 7-12k checking) will slowly decay but I can re-evaluate that every once in a while.

This is obviously dependent on whether you make 10 debit transactions a month or not.

I dont, so I would pick the first.

As it stands, I've been using my debit card regularly, and I get my paycheck via direct deposit. Option 2 would work for me without me needing to do anything extra.

10 debit transactions to my savings account per month would be impossible for me, so I'd go with the first option. I opened one a few months back at Discover bank and took the $150 bonus for depositing $15K. I think they also have a $200 bonus for $25K. Rates have been coming down quickly though, it was 1.7% when I opened it and now it's at 1.15% so that kind of sucks.

Thats a good idea I saw no minimum online but I should verify with a human.

Its possible to automate the transactions with amazon to give yourself amazon credit directly to your account. I dont ever use a debit.

Ive been thinking of transferring money around the local banks and postponing a HYSA, the $/hour for the effort is good theyre offering like $300-500 to put money in there for a few months but Id be worried about missing info on fees.

also that sucks, at 1.15% id almost rather keep it in a standard savings and not complicate things. I was looking at doctorofcredits list and it seems a few have plummeted like that.

WTF bank is offering these kinds of deals?

I don't ever want to use debit, so that one's kinda off the table to me, but the deal they're offering, if it really is continuous and not just one month, is insanely good. Unbelievably good, in fact.

*sees giant list w/ none outright mentioning this insane monthly cash bonus thing*

Ctrl+F "$20 " (space after so something like "$2000 doesn't come up)
Nothing.

Ctrl+F "$50 "
Two results. One is regional and a one-time $50 Amazon gift card. The other is a link to a review for Presidential Bank offering a (one-time-only, again) $50 bonus.

So yeah...not believing you.

Well Im saying $20 and $50 for a $15,000 deposit.

Your probably saw things were in percentages...

4% is on the list and many are on the list around 1.6%.
