I am. West side of the state, near a place called Grand Rapids. But no, the restrictions won't be lifted. Whitmer's a bitch.

A year ago, she imposed a 15 cent gas tax to fix the roads, and since then, 0 roads where I live have been fixed.

I've seen 3 of my favorite local shops close because of this lockdown.

I'm all but certain she will extend them into June.

The restriction in place, are they state wide or just harder hit areas? If it's state wide, then yeah she needs to loosen up a bit. At first I was completely behind her, you need to be strict to contain this, but there does reach a sad point where the people who say the cure is worse than the disease is right. I am pro lockdown, but there is a certain time when that becomes true. You need to do a controlled open up, you don't have to open up every area at once, focus on the numbers in each county. That said maybe the protests did some harm since from May 9th on, their infections have been going back up.

State wide lockdown yeah. However, the upper peninsula has begun opening. But some counties nearby are forcing themselves open.

Flint resident here and outside of shopping with a mask ive been largely unaffected, thanks to working 10-12 hrs. a day. I am hoping the state does open up though we're almost done with our orders and i want to do stuff when it ends.
