they had a "buy 1 sandwich get a free kids meal" special. i would buy a regular sandwich, get the free kids meal (like 80% of the size of a regular sandwich) and that would be all my food for the day

Your post should actually say "this restaurant stopped giving me free kids meals." Pretty sure you can still order one and pay for it.

I used to frequently order kids meals at restaurants in college. It was cheaper and I usually couldn't finish the regular portion. I still remember one time at a Texas Roadhouse the waitress told me I couldn't because the district managers were there and would yell at her.
To be clear, these were at garbage chain restaurants that my friends would eat at and the kids meals were just smaller portions of the normal entrees. I wasn't ordering chicken tenders and ketchup at a nice Mexican restaurant. ... Copied to Clipboard!
