Ok so I'm up to raging feather or whatever. Met Eva and she explained the forming of the patriots and subsequent schism. Funny trenchcoat robot hand man found the base. She showed me Big Boss' burned up body in a van

Once I got up to the boss i pegged her with an RPG and paused it, will resume monday

Snake John Wicking the resistance fighters was super badass. They talked him up so hard before/during it too. Man Snake is so cool

I really don't know how much more Old Snake can take though man. Also Naomi split, dunno where she went

people criticize Act 3 for its gameplay/cutscene ratio, especially in relation to acts one and two, but it has some of the best moments in the game, IMO.

and yea, I liked seeing Snake's CQC skills

Those people can eat it. Snake was such a fucking badass all throughout. Can't wait to kick the boss's ass tomorrow.

When Snake took on those 17 dudes in the resistance HQ i literally fucking creamed. It's so awesome having a not Big Boss character after so long (last one i played before 5 was 3, years ago)

Wow. This game is amazing. After destroying Raven that cutscene with Liquid, Meryl, Eva, fucking crazy. It was so intense. He was in total control the entire time and killed so many people man. Also, vamp and liquid were talking about metal gear rex

My god. I'm back at shadow moses. This is so badass. That room with the hand grubbies was intense, i had to hump past them. Then when the gekko outside woke up it punted me like a football. Took the elevator to Otacon's old lab and left off there. Liquid really salvaged Rex. Can't wait to grind it and him to dust. This game is badass.

Will pick up tomorrow, I think we're trying to turn on the electricity rn or something

It's a play on the other sniper fights in the series, but I'm feeling you. Honestly the B&B fights are the weakest part of the game in general.

Shit gets better pretty soon.

I always loved the in-universe justification for Snake using CQC in 4 instead of CQB being that Big Boss taught him CQC but after he betrayed him, Snake stopped using that technique. Then between 2 and 4 some of the files for MGS3 were declassified and now everyone on the battlefield uses cookie cutter imitations of CQC so Snake reflexively snaps back into using the CQC that Big Boss taught him.

Killed crying wolf dead. Got murked by some gekks. Made it to Vamp. Holy shit this Vamp fight is so damn badass. I CQC'd him down, took forever. He got right back up so I unloaded on him, he got right back up. I figured I just had to hold out, but Otacon is talking like I gotta kill this dude. So I ran outta time for my lunch and had to go back to work. I'm going to equip the anti-nanomachine syringe tomorrow and see if that can be used on him. Super fun, this dude doesnt stand a chance in hell against Snake

A gekko cavalry came in and things looked down. Then my boy came in and one shot what must have been a thousand gekko. Raiden started fighting vamp and snake focused his rail gun on the gekkos and that's where I left off. This game is too badass it shouldn't be allowed

Not counting when I beat mgs1 in 08, that was my first exposure to the series. After that I did 2, 3, and attempted 4 but my ps3 died. So I moved on to metal gear 1 and 2, and boy did those suck. Now that I fixed my ps3 I'm finally getting to play 4 and it's so good

There's a better one immediately after the Gekko situation. If you liked MGS1 and MGS2 it's incredible.

Also, no spoilers, but the final battle of this game is built entirely on hype.

I like how Outer Haven was pushing the dock down under the water anyway but Raiden manages to stop it by standing on the dock and stabbing himself in the foot.

I guess he has secret jet boosters in that cyborg body of his.

I also like how OH crushes him anyway and then Licky just decides to leave for some reason.
