As for the topic at hand...that's dumb. Letting the gov't dictate what gets injected into your body is beyond stupid. Doing it for a virus that kills less than 1% of its victims is somehow even dumber. Dude is right, this is how Nazi Germany and such start because emergency and goodwill powers (like the Patriot Act) don't ever go away. They only expand and expand until the gov't has more power and people's rights are encroached upon.

Do you know how percentages work? No matter how high the number seems when looked at raw, the percentage is the important part. If 99% survive, then the threat is...not a threat.

Also it's much less than 1% from what I've seen. Closer to .1 or less.

This also assumes a 100% infection rate across the total population and equivalent severity of infections.

You can't look at a population of 328 million and say "3.28 million people are going to die! It could be any one of us!"
