I'm at the point where I get to decide if I side with Edelgard or The Church, but I'm not so sure if I'm right. Rhea told me to kill her or "..." and that's what I picked, but it seems as if I'm still with The Church. Do I make a more final choice soon?

Black Eagles has two routes, and that's the point at which the route splits. If you refused to kill Edelgard, then you're officially against the church. Three Houses really has no right or wrong route, and that's by design. It's all various shades of grey.

I'm not new to the game, just to this Rout. I've been keeping her level low [14] until she makes her class switch to get the better growths, and I just wanted to make sure I picked the correct option to keep her

Why does the Area stop being useful after the first few rounds? At least make an item pool each day to lure you into fighting in it.

The Arena is great for farming Professor Points. Especially if it's a tournament that one of your students can easily tackle with little threat. Though yeah, you only get the item once, and that's it for the rest of the month.

It's also good for getting gold since in Part 2--at least during my playthrough with Golden Deer--you don't get the monthly allowance from the Church anymore.
