There are plenty of rich business pricks out there who don't do shit to make improvements or innovations. Many even actively invest in making the world a worse place to live, for the sole purpose of enriching themselves. While one can speculate Elon enjoys being rich, he has made impressive contributions to society over the past few decades, and still attempts to continue to do so.
