Its not complicated. A loser is like someone with barely any accomplishments. Someone running a powerful country could be a world leader. How can you be a loser if you managed to get in a position of power like that? I dont need to convince some average joes, im telling them why they are wrong. Single gamers calling a rich president a loser, classic.

Yea but there are much better words and even terrible is ones perception. Some people thought Obama was terrible etc. For example Hitler was a horrible person and the leader of Germany, one of the most powerful men in the world. Because of his gross views and practices, a poster like you mentioned would call him a "loser". But this man took over much of Europe, parts of Africa, and were it not for the USSR and United States may have dominated the whole globe. Is that a loser? I dont think so. Psychopath, tyrant, sadist, piece of shit, monster - all better words than loser.

It ties into my annoyance with small brains not being able to use their words to disagree. Look at this topic. These posters dont like my views or what im saying. But most of them dont have the articulation to prove me wrong with words, so they resort to weak trolling. Comparing global dominance to morality is like comparing an avocado to a blimp. Its not their dominance, its the status. Being a loser usually relates to status, people using it differently are mutilating the word. Yes i feel the need to separate words, because they have specific meaning. Thats what language is and distinction is important.

This post is a little better. You do realize Donald Trump owns some of the most sought after real estate in the world? One of his buildings in downtown New York alone is valued at half a billion dollars. This guy has made a fortune off his name and gotten royalties without even putting any money up. Hes probably worth more than people think, yourself included. But itt im not defending his business practices, im taking issue with people calling him a pathetic loser. You're saying being a loser usually relates to monetary status, but as you can see in this very topic, the "usual" is that the term loser has been related to morality. You're trying to find a strict definition for a term that is most definitely being used as insult, but unless you have some sort of authoritative source on this context of the word, you're essentially arguing that your definition is right without saying why it's right.

At least the goals should be clear. Accept that people have different definitions for this hardly technical term, or prove why your way is the right way, and the others are wrong.
