That's what bothered me about the series as it goes on including the Fantastic Creatures movies
In Britain it seems like all of wizarding society try not to interact with Muggles which is fine but then you've got Muggle borns attending Hogwarts so it's weird but then in America you have them living and working with Nomaj/Muggles so like, what the fuck is going on

No, they write a letter, attach it to a fucking owl, and then send the owl and hope it gets there in time. It's hilariously inefficient

Speaking of letters, they use quill-and-ink pens. They don't even have ballpoint pens! NOBODY in the wizard world uses a ballpoint pen.

Basically the universe of Harry Potter only makes sense on a surface level and the more you examine it, the more you realize how full of plot holes it is, like swiss cheese

the more I think abut it, the pen thing just baffles me

even when doing his summer homework at the Dursleys Harry never uses a ballpoint pen

This is downplayed in the movies for obvious reasons, but people in the wizarding world don't even wear pants, they all wear robes. (and as evidenced by "Snape's Worst Memory", they don't wear pants beneath their robes)

HP wizards are basically the Before people in an infomercial. "Isn't there a BETTER way!?"

It's a world filled with magic and the best Rowling could come up with for the big battle between Harry and Voldy was a cliche anime red and blue beam struggle

Are they always equipped with a "normal damage protection" spell active? I mean, what if someone just shoots them with a normal gun?

Iirc, Rowling once said Voldy coulda just been shot dead and that would be the end of it.

I think a lot of that's a byproduct of doing a fantastical setting in a modern day urban environment. When you're a kid, it sounds dope but looking back it unravels.
