How often do you rebalance your portfolio?

What is your strategy when you put to funds into your account?

I usually accumulate about $5k, and buy a company that has caught my interest. If there isn't one, I'll put it into VOO.

It's gotten to the point where these small 5k holdings don't feel significant anymore. There will be a big jump in a stock I own, but it has such a tiny impact on my overall portfolio I don't really care much about that holding anymore.

I'm thinking of selling some of my lesser earners, and doubling up on my higher performers

I got $20K in a locked fund from my previous job. I don't care for stocks anymore since my contribution isn't much.

I'm hoping either this year or next to start real estate investing for the long run. My current house almost has doubled in value. Probably will be by 2022 so that's a decent return for 6-7 years. Imagine what the house is gonna be worth when I'm 60? If you can deal with tenants or afford a property management company it's well worth it especially if you just don't get anyone to move in without doing your homework.

Plan is to afford 3 homes within the next 5 years. 1 is mortgage free others will be offset via tenants with gains. I plan on getting back into stocks when I can put $1000+ a month away.

I own a REIT fund to get in on real estate, and that got fucked hard by corona. Think it's all the delayed rent payments.

Usually yearly but whenever I add to my portfolio I try to get my investments back to their targeted allocation.
