I didnt say it did.
So why would I want to spend most of my life in -30C weather when I can just spend my entire life at -1C a temperature I actually find to be quite comfortable and regularly wear shorts in?

If you wear a coat or clothes it keeps your relative body temperature much warmer than the outside environment. Imagine being outside completely naked and cold for the rest of your life with no reprieve. You would become insanely angry or depressed.
The amount of energy I exert when working actually makes me warm enough that I am usually in just a long sleeve shirt and pants in the regular cold I deal with. I normally wear shorts and a hoodie when it starts warming up to about -10C, -1C is literally fuck all to me.

I dont understand why so many people are taking this. 30 degrees is not bad at all but tc says you literally cannot warm yourself up. Layering won't help. Lighting yourself on fire won't work (lmao) you can never feel warmth again and are always cold. We have 0 degree winters but you are able to prepare and combat it with layers. There's nothing that can help this scenario

What are you even talking about? For one, the OP says Fahrenheit, so I'm not even sure why you're talking about different temps in Celsius than what the topic is saying. You truly don't want to spend your life in -30C, I know that for a fact. I live in a cold state and spent a few years living in Alaska, so I'm acclimated to cold weather myself and - temps don't bother me much, but only when I'm dressed for it. You seem to be incapable of grasping your body would be feeling that directly.

Second, you're continually saying that you work outside in the cold most of the time, yet continually ignore the fact that you likely rest and sleep a third of the day AND not still outside in the cold. You also wear clothes to mitigate that temp, so even though you're acting like it's so cold outside, you are still keeping yourself warmer in that colder temperature a majority of the day (even if you work in the cold, I guarantee you are not actually bitter cold that freezing temps would make your body feel painful over extended periods).

So if you work for some hours of the day, and then had to go inside but felt colder than when you were working since you would then no longer be active to keep your body temp up and could not be warmed up, etc...it would not be pleasant.

If I took the deal it would always be a temperature that is very comfortable for me, I don't see a problem with that. As I have already stated I regularily wear shorts at even colder temperatures.

I wear shorts at 30 degrees to run outside for a min, go to the car between errands, etc. "regularly" but it's not long periods of time at once and you start to feel it if you're not moving. You honestly don't know what you're even saying by using "regularly." If you stood outside for even an hour at 30 degrees F in shorts, you'd likely get hypothermia. When you say you regularly do that and are comfy, you're likely meaning you go outside in shorts for a little bit to do something quick or go running. You do not go outside in shorts for most of the day (let alone a 24hr period) and be comfortable.

No I mean I legitimately wear shorts for 14 hours shifts at work at -10C which is colder than 30F

Edit: it specifically is 14F.

Where do you this, whats the job entail, environment around you like, rest of your attire, and consistent time outside without a break? I honestly dont believe its as simple as you wearing shorts and a shirt with nothing else layered or some other method of mitigating the outside temp/weather.

I am outside in the elements for up to 5 hours at a time without an inside break. The rest of my attire includes safety shoes/boots depending on what the ground is like and a light hoodie. I know what temperatures feel like and what is safe to be outside in what temperatures. Like it is almost impossible to get frostbite at -10C/14F. So anything warmer than that is still a bonus. I am done talking this with you because I am uninterested in your incorrect assessments of what cold is actuallyike to live and work in.

Good youve finally decided to give up because youre wrong about temps and what it is like to work in compared to living in 24/7. Then again, I knew that based on your first post and nothing has changed about your ignorance.
