Usually if I'm bringing home a game, I immediately boot up the console and have in DL whatever it needs, then go take a shower or start dinner.

some games install really quickly, for what it's worth...but then you're hit with updates that can last for a while.

It's even older than that actually. Some 360 and PS3 games wouldn't start without the mandatory install. It's nice that Switch carts don't have to install, because I've been so used to having to wait. Preloads are nice for skipping the wait, but I don't always pre-order the games I want.

That would result in longer loading times and less graphical fidelity.
