Soda has tons of sugar, which is bad not only for Diabetics, but also for people that suffer from Hypertension and other shit. Alcohol only does bad to your health if you abuse it, and even then, it's just mostly your liver suffering.
A can of soda is about 7 times worse for your health than a can of beer. Soda but you also don't see people lose their jobs and families and stuff over soda addiction. I mean, I'm sure it's happened a time or two but not enough to coin a term for it.
