They came around saying they are doing a random sample of one thousand households around the Atlanta area. Wanted to know if I was willing to be part of the their medical trial. Apparently they are doing two things, trying to get FDA approval for the serology testing method, and doing surveys about how the shelter in place has effected residences plus rates of sickness either documented or undocumented. So, first I filled out a short questionnaire, then they did a 10-15 minute long question and answer session, then they took my blood to see if I had antibodies related to Covid-19. Overall relatively quick and painless and they were willing to answer any questions you had. Kinda interesting. --- ........the ghost in the machine... That was my primary worry as well, going around to people's houses one after the next like that. They staid six feet away when possible. When I had agreed they put on full PPE, which they said was fresh for each home, and they certainly used new stuff here. Full body smock type thing, new face masks (they had one on the entire time, but changed to fresh to get closer), clear plastic face shield, new gloves. They seemed to be doing everything they could.
