I think some real animals are cute like wild bunnies, small birds, chipmunks, and some others. However, they don't trigger the same affectionate response in me as when I see fictional creatures with the "kawaii" aesthetic like Kirby, Pikachu and many Pokemon, Yoshi, Sonic, Pac-Man, and so on.

Well they're basically just animals designed to be cuter than the real things, so that response makes sense. And it doesn't make you a bad person or anything lol.
