It's just sped up what was inevitably going to happen anyway. More and more people getting into poverty \ massive debt \ dying to ensure the "majority" survives and life continues as "normal". All we're seeing now is an acceleration of this. I assumed it would be climate change or resource scarcity that would be the catalyst for the acceleration but here we are with the Covid.
Seriously. Can't count the amount of people that say how sad it is people are affected but the "economy" must come first and if a small amount of people suffer it's a price worth paying. Covid will likely damage the close relationships between many countries, greatly reduce tourism, destroy or change many things (restaurants, education systems) and put restrictions on sports. But we'll find other ways to entertain ourselves and survive. On the bright side mankind worldwide now has experience in dealing with pandemics.
