Like you weren't fired, or you left knowing you had something else. You just quit because it was bad.

Yes I quit my job last month.

They basically weren't paying me for two months, and then they wrote a paycheck that bounced.

Yeah I've burnt a bridge or two in my day, felt good in the moment but I wouldn't recommend it.

two.

I don't drive, and I had this one job that was a 5 hour roundtrip commute.

after about eight months, I was like nah, so I quit.

and the one before that was a job that I had at a restaurant, and I quit it after two weeks.

Several times. In terms of real jobs and not temp jobs, I left one to go back to college, I left another after one day because it was a commission only door to door sales scam job. I left another because one of my coworkers who pretended to be a manager was a total asshole. I left a job where I had to take care of disabled people because on of the people I was taking care of damaged my car (intentionally) and tried to basically kill me, quit the very day even though it pissed everyone off. I left my most recent retail job on good terms because I was finishing up grad school and needed to get prepared for a move, but they were nice about it and so was I.

Three, all in a period of about three months. That was just a short, bad period in my life that I am glad is long done.

Quit a waiter job when in college.

Dont really recommend it but 2 week notices for waiter gigs are terrible.

Yeah, several times. Always gave at least two weeks notice, though.

Twice one was a par time job over nights at a grocery store it was fun for 2.5 years but I couldn't handle it once I got a 2nd job and just never came back.

The other was a temp job I knew a hour in I wasn't intrested in the job and couldn't wait to go home.

Also quit another part time job also I formally quit but I ended up going back after 3 months.

A few times on the spot when I got pissed off at something.

The good thing about hospitality doing waiter work, bartending or barista is that no employers seem to care about references lol.
They only care if you can engage with customers, make drinks and know your shit.

Wouldn't recommend quitting on the spot though.

Then after 4 years at another job I just left Portland one day and didn't come back for about 2 years. No warning, I just left

When I was 18 I worked as a phone psychic. I only did it for three days. For several reasons. First the other people who worked there did everything they could to show me I wasn't welcome, ignoring me if I said hi, laughing every time I did anything. Second when I got hired I told the supervisor I had my grandmother's funeral to go to the next Sunday and he refused to let me have it off. Finally it was just completely boring, 9 hours at a desk with nothing to do but wait for a phone to ring maybe 5 times a day, not for me.
