It did not take long for standards to slip. Weeks into lockdown, the coronavirus pandemic is starting to lay waste to basic personal hygiene and grooming routines, according to consumer goods group Unilever. As large numbers of people work from home, they are washing their hair less often, putting off shaving and even abandoning deodorant. Graham Pitkethly, Unilevers chief financial officer, said about a quarter of personal care such as hair washing, hairstyling and use of skincare products and deodorants related to people preparing to go to work or school. Homeworking was leading to a decline in demand for products including razors, shampoo and deodorant.

Yikes. I still shave once a week and shower everyday didn't realize that was no longer the norm.

I shower but I don't wear deodorant cause I don't leave my house

if you're in a climate controlled environment and assumably not doing a lot of physical activity, deodorant isnt really that vital unless youre super fat or something

That, or, you know, people are buying less of everything because they have less money and are only shopping once a week or two.

Unless you have some kind of glandular condition or something, if you're sitting at home in a temperature controlled environment all day, doing no physical labor, and you still shower every day just because you want to then you're a wasteful person and you should maybe think about your impact on the planet a little more.

Also, don't wash your hair every day, it's not good for it.
