Haven't been following much of these protests but holy fuck. I can't believe the amount of people not fucking scared of dying or even endangering loved ones. I wonder how strong their true convictions are when it comes down to the raw real deal, though.

Well, in the past people were easily more misguided because free education or even free will wasn't there. We have all of that right now and yet.....

hmm I find something romantic and heroic about believing in something so deeply that you are willing to put your life on the line. Dunno if it has to do with education or free will

There is an obvious case for support of civil rights, idk if that's what the sign guy was getting at but it makes sense to me. As far as that goes though civil rights are only as good as the survivability and overall QoL they grant you.

Dunno if this holds up when dealing with liberty because the QoL, given liberty, is entirely up to the individual

As my first post said, I highly doubt these people will hold true to their conviction. If and when it comes down to it they won't want to die for their beliefs.

I see this demonstration no different from teenagers going to do drugs because schools and parents told them not to go do it.
