Tortillas are the superior "hold other stuff together inside of it" food. They don't fall apart as easily, are cleaner, no crust, no crumbs falling off as you eat it.

Ham and cheese sandwich? Use a tortilla, make it a wrap instead.

Grilled cheese? Cheese Quesadilla.

PB&J sandwich? Yeah, that's right, make it a wrap, they're the bomb.

Add on tacos, burritos, enchiladas? Tortillas are fucking great. Bread is boring.

The closest argument you have of something you can't do as easily with tortillas is French Toast, but even then there are forms of sweet dessert-ish tortilla recipes you can play with and probably make something pretty similar.

Tortillas are superior to bread slices.

My kids certainly agree.

The key to the PBJ is to spread it rather thin, so when you roll it it has layers of tortilla throughout the roll. Slice it into little bite sized circles for extra awesome.

I don't know about PB&J, like on bread you can do one have peanut butter and one half jelly, how do you do it on a tortilla? I just feel like it would be messy.

I don't know about PB&J, like on bread you can do one have peanut butter and one half jelly, how do you do it on a tortilla? I just feel like it would be messy.

I do it all the time; I spread the peanut butter on the bottom third, then the jelly in the middle third, and then roll it up, resulting in the perfect mixture of peanut butter, jelly, and the tortilla itself.

Mix up a thin egg/milk/cinnamon "batter", and brush it on. Panfry "wet" side up, flip, brush the batter on the dry side, and panfry some more.

Alternately, cut the tortilla into pieces, and soak it in the egg/milk/cinnamon goo until it's good and saturated, then deep fry.
Corn tortillas are great that way.

my bad missed the french toast section...

i kinda agree. but i think plain old sandwich bread is pretty shit tier to begin with. sourdough or good grilled brioche bun is tasty as fuck.

Corn tortillas are better for anything you're making that has meat in it, flour tortillas are better for stuff like PB&J or anything else on the sweeter side.

Both are superior to slices of bread.

I think an eggplant parm or a reuben would be pretty weird on a tortilla.

You'd have to slice it up/spread it out a little different than you would normally, but otherwise it's still the same thing, just better cause it's on a tortilla instead.

You could also just put a layer of peanut butter and then put jelly on top of it. As long as you don't put too much on and it squeezes out when you roll it, it works well.
