Favorite albums? Songs? Zappa has so many good albums and songs that I always discover some new good ones when talking about him.
Anyways, here's some of my favs Albums:
Songs:
Except for Watermelon, it's hard to make a top 5 for Zappa cause he has way too many great tunes. What say you guys? --- Brawl FC - 5412-9555-6314 Also known as Toadfan64 ... Copied to Clipboard!

I like his music, can't really name any off the top of my head but when I was learning music theory my teacher would reference Zappa's music quite frequently. So much of his music is jam packed and I heard he was a crazy perfectionist... It's hard to imagine what it would've been like as part of his band

Sorta, I don't actively listen too much. My brother did more so.
I do love his/The Mothers, first album though! Sussy, Sussy Cream Cheese... ...Waaht? Also, Hungry Freaks, Daddy is an amazing song. Way ahead of its time. Trouble Every Day...is basically prophetic, and still relevant to this day. --- "Whatever the reason you're on Mars, I'm glad you're there, and I wish I was with you." ~Carl Sagan. I seem to hear that from people who take those classes alot, which is pretty cool. --- Brawl FC - 5412-9555-6314 Also known as Toadfan64 ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'm pretty casual, but my dad had dozen of Zappa albums and CDs. I had never bothered to listen to Watermelon in Easter Hay before. I was just watching some Youtube video of two dudes comparing Telecasters and Strats while jamming and thought to myself, "Wow, this is awful. I guess I just don't like guitar music anymore." Watermelon in Easter Hay has changed my mind.
I liked Son of Mr. Green Jeans, Montana, Catholic Girls, and Billy the Mountain. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Wish my dad was a fan of Zappa, the only vinyl I inherited from him were Elvis, Van Halen, and Olivia Newton John, lol. --- Brawl FC - 5412-9555-6314 Also known as Toadfan64 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Watermelon in Easter Hay has changed my mind.I always felt like Watermelon sounded like it was a lost Pink Floyd song (probably why I love it so much), but it does really show how solid of an underrated guitar player Zappa is. Montanta and Catholic Girls would make it in my top 10. Montana being another great guitar song from Zappa. --- Brawl FC - 5412-9555-6314 Also known as Toadfan64 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah. Not a super huge/deep fan, but I love a lot of his stuff. Hot Rats is my favorite still, particularly the 80's CD cut. The production is different and some of the songs are a tad longer.
I'd also include songs like Catholic Girls and Montana in my favorites as well. Same for Peaches en Regalia, The Gumbo Variations, Zoot Allures, Eat That Question, Apostrophe, the live jazz fusion version of Chunga's Revenge, and Bobby Brown Goes Down. It's hard to make a list when there's so much out there. --- https://imgur.com/hslUvRN When I sin I sin real good. ... Copied to Clipboard!
