Personally it depends on the context of the use for me, sometimes I'll say v eye ah, other times I'll say vee ah. It just like the word "the" sometimes I'll say thee sometimes I'll say thuh. Or the letter "a" in a sentence, sometimes I'll say eh some times I'll say ah.
