How are you guys holding up?

It's been rough here as a PGY2 resident in a nyc hospital.

Fuck everyone and everything. There's no end in sight, too, because stupid fucking people just refuse to take measures and continue to endanger us every single day.

Well enough, only a couple handful covid patients. Work has been pretty easy and slow but get my hours. Got my stimulus and still making money and been doing my part to keep safe. Life is good.

I love you guys. I'm drinking brandy and I don't think I'm a brandy guy but I poured too much and don't want to waste it, but I mean it. I'd let you come over to my house and shit on my bed. Thanks for your hard work and stay safe.

Only one positive patient in my dialysis clinic. Today is the first day I got out of my self imposed 21 day quarantine incase I caught it when I triaged patient. Spending day with my 5 year old son. Gonna have to go back into my isolation part of house since I'm working at a patient under investigation clinic in 3 hours. Just glad I got to hug my son today. Other than that its been good. Used to wearing PPE 24/7 now

Covid icu, they changed all of our (Fellows) schedule to be 1 week on 1 week off. It'd a taste of attending life and it's been amazing. I mean yes I'm going into covid rooms having to put in lines but that's the extent of it. We put the vent monitors on the outside of the rooms. The "Airway team" does the tubes which consists of the senior Anesthesia resident and attending. First week was rough, had pts on near max vent settings and multiple deaths. Since then it's been pretty stable, a bunch of vented patients just chillin, very slow wean.
