A number of countries around the world are currently on lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic.

As such there are strict rules about leaving the house.

Many people are only allowed to go outside for daily exercise or to stock up on necessities such as food and medication.

However there are even rules that should be followed when it comes to doing essential shopping, for instance only one person from each household is meant to go to the supermarket. In some cases shops have reportedly tried to clamp down on this, not allowing children into the stores, which can be a major problem for single parents.

One single mum recently found herself being shamed for taking her five-year-old daughter to the supermarket with her, but she had no other choice.

MaryAnn Fausey Resendez was fed up of people's reactions to her little girl being in the shop, so she decided to take matters into her own hands.

The parent created a sign which she put on her daughter's back, informing strangers of their situation.

It read: "I am only five. I can't stay home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy.

"Before you start judging, stay back six feet."

Many people also commented on it.

One person said: "I have to do this with my six-year-old son. Im glad Im not alone. It had momma feeling really really bad!"

Another replied: "We as people need to stop judging everyone so damn much! Its getting ridiculous & sad. Stay safe & dont worry about anyone! We do what we have to do as moms."

A third added: "Its definitely hard for single parents who have no choice and this parent is doing an excellent job keeping their child safe. Its the parents I see with both parents there and several kids touching everything, mouthing the cart. That p***es me off."

I judge the old timers who arent wearing masks or gloves.

But theyre probably judging me also for wearing those.

Ive only been out once though, and my wife has been diagnosed since then, so... I was right?
