Needs more love imo.

Great characters, original story, cool battle system.

The translation can be cringe and face palm worthy at times, but you can tell a lot of effort is put into the characters development. So many party members in competing jrpgs (like Final Fantasy) barely have relationships between themselves at all.

My only gripes would be that battles are a little slow and it's pretty easy.

Snark aside, it's pretty fun. I remember getting a bit frustrated with the combos for the battle system, but it wasn't so bad. Solid game, more people should try it

meru and shana are the 2 strongest party members but a lot of people dont use shana because she has no additions and has to be played a completely different way than everyone else to make the most out of her
its sad

but miranda sucks
god i hate miranda.

also its a shame that the final additions are stronger than anything you can do in dragoon form
by end game transforming tends to leave a character weaker which is a shame cause the dragoon transformations were the coolest part of the game

its weird though that thunder has no strength or weakness even though there are 8 elements
the non elemental element i will refer from here on out as void
should have been weak and strong against thunder
but instead thunder and void both have no strength or weakness

fire >< water

wind >< earth

light >< dark

but thunder and void dont work like the rest

I still have my PS1 copy from back in the day. It came out the summer after I graduated HS and I can remember grinding the fuck out of it to get everyone's Dragoon levels up. Albert's was the hardest combo attack to get down.

I'll never understand why Sony has ignored the Legend of Dragoon so fucking long. The game was amazing and had infinite potential. It deserves the full blown remake treatment.

Loved that game. Played it when it came out. I was terrible at the combos and got stuck somewhere around disc 4. Picked it up a couple of years later and breezed through it. I really loved the story and music.

I never finished it. The long drawn out battles and exact button hitting thing is a turn off. I prefer Legend of Legaia.

behind Vagrant Story, FF7Remake

Been trying to beat it for years

It was solid. The end boss tried so hard to be like a FF boss. Fun still.

Forgot to mention, it was actually my first rpg game. I had always played platformers before that, but then I remember there was a really cool commercial on TV and I asked my mom to buy it for me.

So part of why I was so bad at it was that I didnt understand the concept of leveling. I would run away from fights all the time lol. After that is when I got on the FF train.

So I have a lot of nostalgia with LoD. I wish theyd make a sequel. Its a damn shame they havent.

The end boss fight was so damned long, I lost interest in fighting it 2/3 of the way through and was ready to just walk away from the game entirely if I died.
Luckily, I didn't die, because the ending was really good, just like everything else in that game.

Yes, loved it a lot, only other RPG I could get into besides Final Fantasy.

still bummed it never got a sequel.

Albert is definitely gay for Lavitz. And the previous wind dragoon was definitely gay for Lavitz's Dad.

Doesn't help you only get told about the Stardusts on disc 2. Not sure if they're permanently missable, but if so you might already be fucked at that point.

i had it at one point and loved the fact it was on 4 discs so i thought it would be a epic RPG game but didnt get very far cause i didnt have a memory card and ended up getting rid of it.

but you have to manually switch disks to backtrack to certain places and i didnt understand as a kid that i could open the lid, take out disk 3 and put in disk 1 and that would load all the disk 1 areas while still being at disk 3 storywise

so i never was able to backtrack as a kid cause that confused me

It was an okay game, what I didn't like what they killed the only likable character in the game.

I just remember Lenus being a bitch of a boss fight, and Rose being a hot jerk.

And also Meru being overpowered, and Kongol sucking ass.

I apparently beat that game on hard mode as a kid. How's a ten-year-old supposed to know that the cool chick with darkness powers and the big fuck-off giant are the worst characters in the game?

Plus I only ever used the basic attacks because I couldn't do the QTEs for the more advanced ones. I have a feeling I did a lot of grinding and brute forcing.

i often use kongol as well even though he sucks
yellow is my second favorite color

rose gets a sword that boosts her strength up a lot at least
but she only gets it literally 3 seconds before the final boss fight so its not gonna get a lot of use

Actually, I was using gameshark with maxed everything, and as far as damage per-turn goes, Rose with the Dragoon Buster and Hascel out-damages everyone by alot. But you dont get that weapon for Rose normally till the last fight anyway.

Legend of the dragoon was such a dope game. They really should remake it.

I remember thinking it was so cool cuz it had 4 disc's. Beating it was a great accomplishment, I had to have gone through like 4 controllers due to tapping the x button so much.
