Duncan, why don't you try to work towards being in a position where it's easier for you to see your girlfriend if that's the thing that sucks the most about this?

What are the things are preventing the two of you from seeing each other? Some of those things you have no way of fixing, but what about the ones that you could fix?

But also like other people said, I think you're just trying to make this not work out for you. I haven't seen my girlfriend since this whole thing started either, and yeah, it sucks, but we still find ways to not be too isolated even though we aren't physically together. Obviously physical things are part of a relationship as well, but they're not everything. It shouldn't ruin your life to not get a hug for a few weeks. That's not a healthy relationship.

Wtf are you talking about. You think that wanting as few people to die as possible is "just thinking in terms of numbers"?

I live in your state Duncan. Do we think Hogan is doing this just for ****s and giggles? He has to drain all of the money Maryland had saved up for a "rainy day" to keep this going to keep Marylanders safe. That is thinking about people. Thinking about the numbers is saying "1% lethality isn't too high, we could recover".

You're also not an infant who wouldn't understand any of what I'm typing up now.

So you are presumably someone around my age who has survived this far, that somehow still failed to understand even a very basic concept.

You don't need to be on someone's lap to be social. There are phones, there are letters, there are phones, there's even fucking online forms wouldn't you know?

The only thing stopping you from being social is you. You don't need to be in the same room. It hadn't been that way for a long time.
