Not the worst. You should really look up a tutorial on building your own. It's not hard. Just looks intimidating. Because so many people are building PCs nowadays, the whole process has become much more user-friendly.

I'm buying a prebuilt one from Corsair. I configured a similar one on ibuypower but my friend said that Corsair parts are quality.

They had an i7 GTX 2070 Super for the same amount too

You can probably save some money building it yourself. I took specs from a prebuilt and built the same pc and saved like 700 or something.

I'll upgrade the GPU and stuff as I go for sure. These machines are easily upgradable

My friend said AMD is pretty standard on motherboards

My point being however much you spend on a GPU now you might get something much, much better for the same price when the next line of hardware comes out. Seems foolish to waste the money now when it's only a year off but it's your money best of luck.

I know that it might take some of the air out of your balloon but if you can find a good used one or have a friend who can borrow you one for a while I'd build the rig and go that route and wait on the GPU. Of course I could be completely wrong too but that's just kinda what I've been hearing.
