Haven't watched Clerks in a few years and clerks II in like 8 years.
Clerks still holds up, great movie, some of the jay & silent bob segments are silly.
Clerks II, feels like realistic as Clerks and have some unneeded goofy crap like the roof dance scene, but I do like it still overall with being 35 now myself and their 33 and Dante thinks he has to do what he thinks is expected of him even though he really doesn't want to. I'd say Clerks II is just good and couldn't live up to Clerks.

One thing is....I put in a bonus disc for Clerks II and one part has not aged well AT ALL

"You got to give me a face that I can put on the posters that people recognize"

I've only seen a few of Kevin Smith's movies (Clerks, Clerks 2, Red State, and Tusk), and they made me not want to see the rest.

I know, and I think the implication is that the statement that was made reflects on Harvey Weinstein's criminality/inappropriateness that has come out in the past couple of years. And I saying that statement doesn't age well I think is a reach because it doesn't really imply much or have much of a double meaning.

I have it on DVD, been like bout 5+ years prob 10 since I watched it, think I'll give it a watch.

Also yes the comment was on the bonus disc, on a VH1 special about the movie,
I hope of course that Rosario didn't have to do anything extra to get the role.
