I lived in England for a couple of years and speeding on their roads is actually a big deal. A ton of the roads are narrow as hell, not straight, lined by tree walls and deep ditches, and have a ton of blind turns. Not going the speed limit carries a lot more risk as opposed to the states where going 60 in a 50 might just get you a warning because you can see everything for miles.
Ah, fair enough. I didn't think about how the UK might actually have the speed limits set to a safe level instead 20 mph lower than what's safe

So.... does this happen a lot in Ireland?

I mean, that guys car just blows through a brick wall. Is it even possible to go that fast in Britains tiny crowed little roads? The Irish must suck at making walls. And were the kids supposed to be doing something wrong by having a picnic there? In Ireland are you not supposed to be on the other side of walls... you know, since theyre supposed to be so bad at making them?

From what I remember of living there, most of the back roads in Britain had what's called a national speed limit, which varied based on what you were driving but typically was around 60 mpg.

So yeah, pretty easy to blow through a low wall at that speed.

Welcome to what is basically our punishment for youtube's failure. Happened around decemberish last year if you recall the whole COPPA thing. If it's flagged for as kids it's non-monetized, no comments, can't be played in the miniplayer. Was supposed to also hide the like/dislike, but I see them there.

Yes, it screwed a lot of channels/vids up. Btw I remember some pointing out the system randomly flagging southpark bits for kids, because ya know... FOR THE CHILDREN.

I don't know the COPPA thing because I'm not an American, but it's basically YouTube being stupid again, yes?

ugh, what's with this "YouTube kids" apps thing? it disabled all of the comments on any video flagged for kids, even though it was not for kids.

You know how you must be 13 years or older to create a gamefaqs account? That is because of COPPA.
COPPA was made in the 90s to protect kids online and everybody online said those rules are impossible to follow, so lets bypass it by requiring everybody that use our website to be 13 or above.
This way everybody could say I had no idea that they lied about their age and get away from it.
Now Youtube took it to the next step, they learned how many below 13-years old users they got thanks to datamining and started to sell ads targetting this age group. Since they knew that they had such young users, they also proved that they broke COPPA and had to pay lots of money.
They also signed a deal with them where they would add a for kids category and allow them to sue uploaders for marking their videos wrong.

Other post pretty much covered it.

Basically google/youtube broke the law, paid 170mill or so in fines and made a deal to slather on changes for youtube as a whole, even though they had or just introduced a youtube for kids app. They could have just required you to be signed in all the time, but that hurts ad viewage since making an account scares some off, so instead decided people who review/show toys/lego/cartoons/etc should be punished instead. We the viewers are punished because we can't comment, watch in miniplayer, or save it to a playlist iirc.
If you mislabel your video the FTC will come for you with a 42k usd fine per video, or so they claim.

It doesn't help the AI/systems youtube uses to automatically flag vids is borked. It was deleting robot combat videos such as robot wars/battlebots as animal abuse/fighting.
