When my dad was a kid his parents adopted some kid, pretty young. His mother was a drug addict and the kid was born addicted to drugs. They basically couldn't take care of him and in the middle of the night they left him in front of some hospital and drove off.

its amazing to think about how families have changed over the last century. know anyone with "mild" mental disorders like down syndrome or autism? not that long ago parents would just leave those kids in asylums...
