When will it end

I suspect mid to late April major cities will peak and early to mid may other parts will peak. Being past the peak doesn't mean we're free, it just means the number of cases goes down but there will be a shit ton of new cases still. I think by June we will feel comfortable with the rate of decline. I think it will come back in fall though, it will pretty bad then too but hopefully we are more prepared.

My guess is 100,000 to 200,000. That's a number I've been saying for the last 2 weeks but Fauci just said it the other day as well. That's my projection for all of 2020 but just this phase.

This virus is never going away completely, even with a vaccine. But over time (maybe one to a few years), as the vast majority get exposed and start to build some kind of immunity, you'll see less cases and less severe cases. That's one way we will inevitably get herd immunity. A vaccine helps significantly with that....again won't make it go away but it'll make the impact less severe.

Feels good. Healthcare is my one area of expertise. If I ever post my opinion, I always say "I think". If I'm referring to scientific literature, I post that I'm referring to a paper and if anyone wants to see the source I am willing to share. My opinions are all based on data.

Bats in china I guess. I haven't read too much into it tbh but this type of virus is mainly found in Bats. They tried infecting mice with it to do lab tests and they weren't able to.
